There is a wide selection of Stainless Steel Non Stick Cookware available, which does away with the messy stickiness of pots and pans, allowing for special cooking delights. Increasingly new and innovative stainless steel non stick cookwares of high quality are gaining popularity. Available in polished finishes with heat resistant plastic and even wooden handles, stainless steel non stick cookware combine their immaculate finish with good craftsmanship, Cookware sets are specifically designed to cater to varied cooking needs and are easy to use and very functional.

Experts however do not recommend buying a full set of nonstick cookware. This is because the Teflon-coated cookware isn't the most durable in the long run. However experienced cooks do vouch that a stainless steel non-stick skillet is an essential addition to your cookware collection. Because all nonstick Teflon coatings almost always eventually wear off you could buy one at a time. This cookware is oven-safe to 350 degrees. However hand-washing is recommended to dish-washing.

The debate of the safety of Teflon continues while the manufacturers keep on looking for non-Teflon alternatives. While nonstick pans are said to be more convenient and easier to clean it is recommended that they should be hand-washed and you should not stir foods with metal utensils. But remember even with these precautions the coating will eventually flake off. Unlike cast iron, nonstick cookware isn't "lifetime" cookware, so it is always better to buy a budget nonstick skillet that you won't mind parting with when the time comes. Some stainless steel cook ware comes with a double coating of Teflon but even that is an average performer.

Despite the fact that most chefs and experts recommend uncoated cookware, about half of all shoppers prefer nonstick. Stainless steel nonstick cookware comes in a wide variety and the coating allows you to use a little less fat. However this also hinders heat conduction, making it harder to brown foods. It also prevents fond from forming in the bottom of the pan.
