This 10-piece cookware set from Calphalon maintains a high degree of strength and shine even after pretty rough usage. The polish stays good and discolors only when exposed to a lot of heat and may change colors which easily go away when scrubbed properly.

The pots and pans have a nice traditional look to them and are nicely designed with some solid construction. They are slow to heat up but once up to temp, is easily controlled and cooks very gently. Although Calphalon's Tri-Ply Copper brochure advises that metal utensils will not harm the pan but the reality is quite the opposite and you should be prepared to use nylon or wood utensils if you want to avoid an ever-growing matrix of scratches, or go to a different brand of cookware altogether. It is the perfect size for a family of four or five and can be used for just about any situation when you don't have the proper pan.
